Steve did a great job!!! He is professional, kind & it was a great price. I love to support local businesses.
Owner-operated carpet cleaning, done the careful way.
Steven Reith founded Syracuse Carpet Cleaning Co. and still runs it from the field. The company has stayed small on purpose, so the standard never slips.
The company
Syracuse Carpet Cleaning Co. cleans carpet, area rugs, and upholstery for homes and businesses across Greater Syracuse and Central New York. Steven Reith founded the company and runs it as an owner-operator, which means the person who quotes your job is accountable for how it turns out.
The work is done with hot-water extraction and a counter-rotating agitator, which lifts soil out of the fiber instead of pushing it around, and with low-moisture methods where a fabric or a commercial floor calls for it. The cleaning solutions are plant-based and rinse out completely, so nothing sticky is left behind to attract dirt, and most carpet is dry to the touch in two to four hours.
The company is open 24 hours. That covers routine appointments, same-day requests, and the emergencies that come up at night: a pet accident, a flood, a spill before guests arrive.
How we work
Four things that do not change from job to job
The owner is on every job
Steven is on site for residential and commercial work alike. You deal with the same people from the first call to the last walk-through.
The quote is the price
You get a number before any work starts. If something changes once we see the carpet, we tell you before we touch it.
Plant-based solutions
The standard chemistry is biodegradable and low-VOC, rinses out completely, and is safe for kids and pets once the carpet is dry.
Based in Syracuse
This is a local company, not a franchise. We live in the area we serve and work the same towns week after week.

Steve was great to work with. While reasonably priced, his work is detailed and meticulous. He takes the time and effort to ensure every crevice was cleaned! The before and after was astounding (I wish I took pictures)! Highly recommend for all the carpet cleaning needs. Will use Syracuse Carper Cleaning again and recommend to others.

Steven is quick and efficient. Always fits us in for last minute jobs and does a great job even on a time crunch. He has become our first call for all our carpet cleaning needs!

Steven was responsive and very quick to get us in on short notice. We purchased a home, closed, and needed roughly 1600sqft of carpet cleaned with a short turn around. He quoted me a reasonable price and did amazing work! We were sure we were going to have to replace some of the carpets due to how dingy and stained they were at our final walk through--now they look nearly brand new. Syracuse Carpet Cleaning will be my first call when we need to get the rugs done again!
